Approach. Upon arrival at this exclusive residence, guests are greeted with a subtle cabin and tower structure that reverberates the historic context of mountain architecture. A mine-like cave entrance leads to a below grade garage that engulfs the guest in, what is to be learned, the majority of the residences square footage. The guest is then lead through the rest of the house to discover its relationship with the landscape.

Integration. The house is situated to maintain primary views and flow along a steep ski run. It utilizes native plantings for a green roof that covers the majority of the spaces. Two large glass openings poke through the mountain to reveal concrete volumes. These subterranean volumes, along with high end finishes and materials result in a wonderful relationship between livable spaces and the landscape.
